GTA 6 Leonida map 'now $1 extra' with physical copies
GamesRadar+ reported on 3 November 2026 that the paper Leonida map is no longer included free with physical copies of GTA 6 and is now a $1 extra. Rockstar hasn't confirmed this.
Is the GTA 6 Leonida map still free in the box?
According to GamesRadar+, the paper map that used to come free with every physical game is now a $1 purchase for GTA 6. The outlet says you won't be getting your Leonida map in the box as standard.
That is a change from how Rockstar has usually done things, where a folded map came tucked inside the case at no extra cost. GamesRadar+ reported the detail on 3 November 2026. Rockstar hasn't confirmed it, so treat it as a rumour for now.
What does the $1 map mean for physical buyers?
If the report is right, anyone buying a disc copy will need to pay a little more to get the paper map, or go without it. It's a small amount, but it's the kind of bonus plenty of players have come to expect in the box.
There's no word yet on how the extra charge would work at checkout, whether it applies to every edition, or whether digital buyers get anything similar. Those details haven't been shared.
What has Rockstar said about GTA 6 physical editions?
Rockstar hasn't commented on the map report. GTA 6 is due on 19 November 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and no PC version has been announced.
For now, the $1 map is an unconfirmed claim from GamesRadar+. We'll update if Rockstar says anything official about what's inside the box.
What we're still waiting on
- Rockstar confirming whether the Leonida map costs $1 extra with physical copies
- Whether the charge applies to all editions or regions
- What digital buyers receive instead
