GTA 6: Derbyshire police mock suspect in TikTok video
Derbyshire police made a TikTok video mocking a suspect who led officers on a high-speed car chase, joking that the arrest means they will miss the GTA 6 launch. IGN reported the video on 3 November 2026.
What did Derbyshire police say about GTA 6?
A UK police force has turned a car chase into a joke about the GTA 6 launch. Derbyshire police posted a TikTok video poking fun at a suspect who led officers on a high-speed pursuit, saying the arrest means they will miss the game's release.
IGN reported the video on 3 November 2026. The clip has been shared widely, with players enjoying the force's dry take on the launch.
Why are players sharing the police TikTok?
GTA 6 is one of the biggest releases in years, and the wait has become a running joke online. The Derbyshire clip leans on that, framing a missed launch as part of the punishment.
It is a light story tied to the game rather than any news about it. The force showed the video on its own TikTok account, and IGN picked it up on 3 November 2026.
When does GTA 6 come out?
GTA 6 is set to launch on 19 November 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced a PC version.
The Derbyshire suspect, according to the force's video, will not be playing along with everyone else.
