GTA 6 break-up option for Jason and Lucia reported
GamesRadar+ reported on 1 November 2026 that GTA 6 will let players break up Jason and Lucia, with the couple able to want different things. Rockstar hasn't confirmed this.
Can you break up Jason and Lucia in GTA 6?
GamesRadar+ reported on 1 November 2026 that GTA 6 will let players break up the couple at the centre of the story. The outlet says the pair can want different things as the game goes on, rather than staying together for the whole run.
The report points to Red Dead Redemption 2 as the reason this is possible, suggesting Rockstar's earlier work on characters with their own minds shaped how Jason and Lucia are written. Rockstar hasn't confirmed any of this.
What would a break-up mean for the story?
If the report is right, the relationship would be something players steer rather than a fixed plot. That could change how missions play out and how the two leads talk to each other.
GamesRadar+ frames it as a choice about what the characters want, not just a single scene. There are no confirmed details on how a split would work in play, or whether it changes the ending.
Is this official GTA 6 news?
No. This comes from GamesRadar+, not from Rockstar, Take-Two, Sony or Microsoft, and it hasn't appeared in an official trailer or store page. Treat it as a rumour until Rockstar says otherwise.
GTA 6 is due on 19 November 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC version has been announced.
